Potty training

I haven't been in a hurry to potty train Kaylee because I don't want to have to clean pee out of carpet or worry about finding bathrooms while out running errands. Yeah, I know that's lame. But Kaylee started saying, "Potty toilet" and then she'd run to the little potty chair we have in the downstairs bathroom. She loves to flush the potty down the toilet and wave bye-bye. A few days ago I caught her sitting on the bottom stair taking her diaper off. She stood up, leaving her diaper laying on the stairs. Lovely. I told her that she needed her diaper so she didn't get pee on the floor. She said, "No, I go potty in the toilet. Okay!" and took off running down the hallway with her darling, bare bum cheeks to her potty chair.

I have got to be the luckiest mom in the world!! Of course, I shouldn't congratulate myself on my luckiness yet...there's still a lot of time for it to backfire:) And knowing Kaylee and her love for making messes, it's very likely to!

  1. I know that girls are supposedly easier to potty train than boys, but a self-training baby girl? What unbelievable luck! :)

  3. Congrats to you! If you can get her to go poo in the potty, then you have got it made. Once she goes poo (not being scared of it) it will catch right on I'm sure of it. And yes, I'm a little bit jealous!!

  4. Ooooh! Good luck with that! Potty training is the one thing they don't mention before you get pregnant or you would never have kids!
